Tri4Him Charities

Since Tri4Him was originally founded in 2003, service (fundraising and volunteerism) has been an integral part of our culture. Following Christ's example, local groups within the Tri4Him Community not only train together but serve together.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
—Mark 10:45

Listed below are Tri4Him's "official" charities. Local group are encouraged to have an impact beyond triathlon by serving together in the name of Jesus. Whether it's one of these official charities or another, local groups put their faith into action through service to others in their community.

Official Swim Charity - Living Waters

Living Water International exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water”—the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.

Visit the Living Water International website for more information.

Official Run Charity - The Shoe Bank

The Shoe Bank had just one goal when it was founded in 1989 – to put comfortable shoes on a few hundred homeless men living on the streets in downtown Dallas. The program today provides shoes for twenty thousand people every year – primarily children, both here and abroad.

Here's how it works. Good used children's shoes, men's and women's athletic shoes, and men's dress shoes can be donated at schools, athletic facilities, and retail stores displaying Shoe Bank depositories. The shoes are carefully inspected and then delivered to local social service agencies for distribution.

Visit the Shoe Bank website for more information on this Texas charity or find a similar charity in your area. Coordinate with a local race director to sponsor a food drive at an upcoming race.

Official Nutrition Charity - Community Storehouse

Focused on providing basic needs, the Community Storehouse helps to guarantee success in school and make graduation possible for children in the Keller and Northwest Independent School districts. During times of crisis we intervene to accommodate the needs of children. These needs include but, are not limited to: medical/dental care, eye care, prescriptions, school supplies, food, clothing, shelter, utilities, and counseling.

Local food banks and shelters are scattered across the nation. Find one near you and volunteer as a local Tri4Him group or coordinate with a local race director to sponsor a food drive at an upcoming race.
